These post-secondary courses are designed at an advanced level, and due to the high demand, we have implemented a rigorous selection process to ensure the quality and success of our students. Upon receiving your application, we will confirm your provisional place in the program. To secure your position, a registration fee should be paid within the specified timeframe. Once the fee is processed, you will be invited to the school for a personal test and interview. During the test and interview, we aim to evaluate your interest, talent, and any relevant previous knowledge. This step is crucial in identifying the potential of each applicant and ensuring a diverse and dynamic cohort. Following the test and interview, you will be notified of your admission status. In the unfortunate event of not being accepted into the program, rest assured that your application fee will be fully refunded. Our application process is designed with the goal of providing every student with the best possible chance to succeed in their education. No, we have no age limit, but if you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parents’ permission.

Several of our courses, particularly our flagship Master Makeup Artist and Makeup Artist courses, include internship in different makeup fields. These might be during the day, evening or weekend, and can include events, photo shoots, film and TV, theater, or even personal makeup and styling services to private individuals. In our view, it is important for our students to gain experience of the profession’s day-to-day realities, and beyond the practical experience, they are also ideally positioned to make valuable connections that often can lead to job opportunities after qualification.

You pay a registrations fee after your application and the remaining course fee is to be paid no later than 28 days before the course starts.

Most students finance their education by saving money or borrowing from parents or relatives. There are also opportunities to take bank loans or loans via Human fiscal offering a loan to our students at a reasonable rate. Make Up Institute give a gift in the form of product package to all the students on the first day of the course. Students training to be a Master Makeup Artist (incl. Hair Stylist) receive products with a value of SEK 45 000. The Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist training gets a product package with a value of SEK 35 000. The makeup Artist program includes a product package with a value of SEK 28 000. The students training to be a Hair Stylist, receive product kit.

The term “Master” is used in higher education and aims at a higher skill level than the basic level. Master Training is characterised therefore by a longer, deeper and more advanced education. Generally, in the professions of the arts and especially in the make-up artist profession, the term “Master” is used to define the most professional and advanced level of the make-up artist. A Master make-up artist can work in all fields of the make-up professions. The Master make-up program we offer is intensive training courses that provide advanced knowledge and skills in make-up, hairstyling, and eyelash styling. The Master program also prepares students for professional work in the make-up fields of film, theatre, television, fashion, body painting, airbrush, special effects, high definition, hair styling, eyelash styling and medical makeup. After completing the training and graduating, our students are certified Master Make-up Artist, Hairstylist and Eyelash stylist.

Make Up Institute Stockholm in internationally and nationally accredited. International Master Makeup Artist, as well as Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist educations, are under state supervision, the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (MYH), and accredited by the International Union for Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Education.

The industry is continuously expanding with new opportunities and the demand for professional makeup artists is constantly increasing. The internship involves real work where students have the opportunity to participate and assist on various occasions. These internships may be located around the country and may include events such as fashion shows, film and TV productions, photo shoots, makeup for private individuals, and other events. *Participation in the internship is voluntary for students enrolled in our distance flex education program.
