As the founder of Make Up Institute, Shaul has played a pivotal role in establishing and shaping the school's vision, ensuring it upholds the highest standards of education in the makeup industry. He continues to oversee its strategic direction, ensuring that courses stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques.
Beyond the institute, Shaul is a chairman and serves as an examiner at IUM (International Union for Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Education) makeup schools worldwide.
He is also the managing director of MIST STOCKHOLM, a cosmetics brand designed for professional makeup artists. Recognized as one of the industry's leading makeup artists, he frequently takes on assignments both in Sweden and internationally.

Hair Extension Teacher
Josiane Aka is a highly skilled hair extension expert with over 20 years of experience. Originally from the Ivory Coast, she moved to Sweden in 2003 to follow her dream of working in beauty. Trained in Stockholm and Copenhagen, she has specialized in extensions and braiding. Known for her precision and high-quality hair sourced globally, she has worked with very well-known clients and established herself as a trusted name in the industry.

Make Up Institute is one of Europe’s leading makeup academies. Students from all over the world come here to be educated as Master Makeup Artists, Makeup Artists, Hairstylists and Makeup Artist Instructors. The Institute is located in Stockholm, Sweden.
If needed, Make Up Institute can arrange lodging for out-of-town students. However, available spaces are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Make Up Institute Stockholm is internationally and nationally accredited.
Make Up Institute is the only Make Up School in it's kind in Sweden which is approved by The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (MYH) which are in charge of state inspection of the International Master Makeup Artist and International Makeup Artist programs, which include hair stylist training. IUM, the International Union For
Makeup Artist And Hair Stylist Education, has accredited these programs.
Finding models for practice is done by the students; the Institute also has a registry of models available to our students. The school’s education plan, the ratio of teachers to assistants to students and our modern premises also contribute to the high calibre of our education. Make Up Institute accepts a limited amount of students every school term. The Institute’s premises are approximately 260 sqm.

Makeup as a Profession
Most of the information we get today comes from visual media like television, the internet, films, newspapers, and magazines. The visual media has increased tremendously in the last few years due to the world’s ever-increasing technology. For makeup artists, this means more work and opportunities. Makeup as a profession is divided into different specialities which also give exclusive chances for work. As a certified Master Makeup Artist, You will have opportunities to enter the industry and secure jobs directly through Make Up Institutes Makeup Artist & Hairstylist Agency. You may even have a chance to be employed by Mist Stockholm, cosmetic and makeup brand or take on freelance assignments either through our agency or privately.
Portfolio
During the last weeks of the course, the Master Makeup Artist students take their final exam. The students work with a photographer and create a complete look of 5 different models with both makeup, hairstyling and styling. That results in a portfolio with digital pictures which the students get at the end of the course together with the International Master Certificates. These portfolios typically prove very useful for makeup artists at job interviews.
Internship
Internship days are an obligation during education. The number of internships depends on the type of education you attend. The school arranges internships of various kinds.
That can be makeup and hairstyling for private people, film, Tv production, fairs, fashion show, where students get to test their skills in real life. This is a very important part of our teaching as it provides an opportunity to try out the "real life" as a makeup artist or hairstylist in a safe way.
Professional makeup kit
During the last weeks of the course, the Master Makeup Artist students take their final exam. The students who participate in our professional makeup artist programs will receive a makeup bag with products with a Value of 28,000 - 45 000 SEK as a gift from Make Up Institute. These products are specially selected so that you as a student can use them for the course and during your internship days. Even though you get a lot of products, we know from experience that our students buy more material during the course. - Therefore during the education all students get 30% discount on all Mist Stockholm product. On average, each student spend about 5000 SEK for extra products.

Our International Makeup Artist and Hairstylist course (Regular/Distance Flex)** is a combination of Make Up Artist, and Hairstyling education. This program is suitable for those who want to work as a professional makeup artist and hairstylist in the fields of fashion, TV, advertising, bridal, makeup stores etc.
The training is 14 weeks and includes 4 photo session and digital portfolio photos.
The International Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Program is accredited by the International Union for Makeup and Hairstylist Education (IUM) and approved by Myndigheten för yrkeshögskolan (MYH).
This education program leads to an international Makeup Artist and Hairstylist certification.
Distance Flex: In this mode, your will have flexibility to choose your own schedule. You can come physically to school whenever you want, be online during the classes (usually between 9 AM to 11 AM Swedish time) or have an opportunity to watch video recordings of the lessons within 24 hours. Your presence is mandatory for the final certification exam (not applicable for the international students). This course works perfectly for those who cannot be present physically in Stockholm or have a day job.

Our International Makeup Artist course (Regular/Distance Flex)** is a detailed, in-depth course is enabling you to learn makeup artistry that features lessons from basic to advanced, creative and editorial, even tv and film makeup. Take a peek at the ins and outs of the industry, learn how to use tools and products and so much more. This course leads you to become an internationally certified professional makeup artist.
The education is for those who want to work with makeup, beauty & fashion and want a basic course in hair styling.
The course is 14 weeks long (including internships and 3 photo days in the studio).
Distance Flex: In this mode, your will have flexibility to choose your own schedule. You can come physically to school whenever you want, be online during the classes (usually between 9 AM to 11 AM Swedish time) or have an opportunity to watch video recordings of the lessons within 24 hours. Your presence is mandatory for the final certification exam (not applicable for the international students). This course works perfectly for those who cannot be present physically in Stockholm or have a day job.
International Makeup Artist Program is accredited by the International Union for Makeup and Hairstylist Education (IUM) and approved by the Myndigheten för yrkeshögskolan (MYH).
This education program leads to an International Makeup Artist Certification.

Our Makeup Stylist Distance Program is a makeup course enabling you to learn makeup artistry that features lessons from basic to advanced, creative, editorial and tv makeup.
